Their curatorial work lends itself with ‘learning by doing’ methods, experimentation which are intertwined with transdisciplinary art. They work within various projects and coordinate different platforms and have an interest in intercultural identities, queer feminist theories and sound ecologies. Kay is dedicated to explore and engage with by using sound performance knowledges, curating experiences through works of sound art (field recordings), collective listening and care practices. Kay is a founding member of Kollektiv international Totem (KIT), is part of River Oracle and ARKA. Kay fosters collaborations within disciplines, trying to create bridges (in)-between them. She immerses herself in interdisciplinary collaboration. Kay is a founding member of Kollektiv international Totem, The Alchemists' Bruit and ATOMOX. Kay enjoys working with emerging composers and collaborations with other art disciplines. She is curator of various projects and platforms around the world. She received her training in Australia and later extended her education in France, Hong Kong and Switzerland. Kay has an interest in intercultural, political identity, gender equality and the environment. She is dedicated to researching and expanding knowledge about her instrument, but also wants to explore the limits of the performance experience through improvisation, noise, social and multimedia, curating and cultural studies.
